5 minute Vegan Brownies!

5 minutes ! That is all the time you need for brownies that are the best you would have ever tasted! Okay, maybe that is exaggerating a little bit but considering that they take only 5 minutes and that they don;t have any of the usual brownie ingredients, I think my excitement is pretty justified.

My mom is awesome at this kitchen stuff and she has always been a master at whipping up the perfect sponge cake.

But the cakes she makes never last past the hour. My sister is capable of finishing a one kilogram cake all by herself. Which is why she rarely bakes.

I live in a dorm that is 15 minutes away from home. And one of my mom's various jobs include giving me food everyday. I have a massive sweet tooth and she, darling angel that she is, picks her brains everyday to satisfy it.She was running out of time and so, she decided to draw inspiration from my many failures at whipping up healthy'cakes'.( She considered them all successes. But then , she is my mother and she was probably lying).

She threw into the blender a handful of nuts and a handful of oats, threw in some aquafaba and horsegram. She added a lot of dates and a teensy weensy bit of coconut oil , some dessicated coconut and a few drops of milk. In went the cocoa powder and vrooooooooom! (That was the blender. It grumbles now because of my experiments in the kitchen)She poured the batter into a greases cake tin and slid it into the microwave. She gave it five minutes. And then another minute. She didn't taste it. She didn't let it cool down. She cut it, packed it and drove like a bat out of hell to get to me before my lunch break started( Yeah , she loves me that much!๐Ÿ˜‰)

I didn't taste it with her around. She told me it probably wouldn't taste all that great considering the menial effort it has taken. I told her that I would be the judge of that.
First bite. Munch munch. Swallow. Me: OMFG! That tastes like bounty!

Next bite. Me: Aaaargh!! This is the best brownie ever!!! And so I went on, with each bite making me reminiscence about my dessert experiences.

I was completely shocked when she told me what was in it. No sugar, no flour, no eggs and butter but the results were even better than what the traditional ingredients could ever yield! we've been eating it for breakfast , lunch and dinner and we eat it in massive quantities...๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
